Janulab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-11

This policy describes how Janulab collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to janulab.com (the "Site") and people who contact us about our products.

It does not cover data collected by Janulab products you deploy yourself. When you install Porta Booking on your own server, you (the operator) are the data controller for your end users' data and are responsible for publishing your own privacy notice.

1. What we collect

  • Contact information you give us. When you email support@janulab.com or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message contents.
  • Usage information. Our hosting provider (AWS) logs basic request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and operational reasons. We do not use third-party analytics that profile individual visitors.
  • Cookies. The Site uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

2. Why we use it

  • To respond to your support, sales, or partnership inquiries.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited information only with service providers we use to operate the business, under their own privacy commitments:

  • Zoho Corporation — email hosting for janulab.com addresses.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting infrastructure (US-East-1 region).
  • Envato (CodeCanyon) — when you purchase a product, Envato handles the transaction and shares your buyer username with us so we can provide support.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate suspected abuse of the Site.

4. International transfers

Site infrastructure is hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1). Janulab operates from Taiwan. If you are visiting from outside either country, you understand and consent to your information being transferred to and processed in these locations.

5. Retention

Support emails are retained as long as needed to provide ongoing support and meet legal or tax obligations, typically up to seven years. Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes. You may request earlier deletion as described below, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Request that we delete your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@janulab.com. We will respond within a reasonable time frame and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us so we can remove it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we hold — TLS in transit, encrypted backups, restricted admin access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be flagged on the Site for a reasonable period.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@janulab.com.
